Dark Mirror: Tournament of Vengeance chapter 13Brightness. Sharp brightness. Painful brightness. Misty closed her eyes again and shuffled stiffly in her bed. Somehow, Misty always imagined heaven would be more comfortable.Dark Mirror: Tournament of Vengeance chapter 13 by Shadymissionary
Of course she was in a hospital. She could hear the hum of the fluorescent light, feel the still bed pillows under her, smell the sterile disinfectant and…something a little sweeter. What she didn’t understand was how, exactly, she got from the street to here. Last she checked, she was about to get impaled by an unholy nightmare creature above her. Not lying in a hospital bed being looked over by…Ash…?
No…it was a her…
“Oh…you’re awake…thank goodness.” Delia breathed a sigh of relief. She was sitting beside Misty’s beside, next to a table with a bunch of flowers. Water-Lilies, Misty guessed.
Blinking the overwhelming light out of her eyes, Misty slowly sat up to look at the woman. She could feel the bandages around her hands and head, and she
Dark Mirror: Tournament of Vengeance chapter 12The sun had set by the time Brock and Misty had made it to the park, just between the moments the sun had fully set and the moment the streetlamps were turned on. Dusk painted dim shadows over the walkway, hiding the pristine path and beautiful flowers. Although quite a few of those flowers had recently been overturned, but that could’ve been anything from scavenging Pokémon to thoughtless young pickers.Dark Mirror: Tournament of Vengeance chapter 12 by Shadymissionary
Brock and Misty looked around, eyes scanning for cheerful old men or demonic abominations. Neither was seen, not even as the streetlights clicked on and the shadows became even more pronounced.
“Ok, where’s that Ramos guy?” Misty demanded, not wanting to spend longer here than she had to. “He couldn’t have beat us here!”
Brock thought for a moment, and then chuckled sheepishly. “Well, uh…maybe we beat him here? We kinda ran pretty fast…”
Misty nodded. “Good. Maybe we can tell him to leave when he gets h

Dark Mirror: Tournament of Vengeance chapter 11It was a frustrated and unhappy Ash that returned to the training facility. His confrontation with his friends – and the questions they had raised – had soured an otherwise excellent day. A strong victory over an irritating opponent, one step closer to the championship. And then they had to find out about Alessa and his deal. Talking to him like that…he thought they’d understand. Wouldn’t THEY want to make Alessa pay too?!Dark Mirror: Tournament of Vengeance chapter 11 by Shadymissionary
They don’t get it. They just don’t… he kept repeating to himself.
To top it all off, he couldn’t even get his favorite drink or brand of chips. The machines must have been broken or something…or did he get ripped off? It was a small thing, he knew, but it did NOT help at all.
When he arrived at his floor, he wasn’t so much interested in training as he was interested in doing something – anything – to take his mind off things.
Ash stormed out of the elevator, causing all his Pokemo

When he was little (which wasn’t that long ago in human years- Pokemon grew up very fast), he had heard countless stories about the Revolution from his father, his friends, the friends of his father, and the fathers of his friends. All credible sources…or at least he’d thought so. All of them had entertained him with glorious tales of the Pokemon Revolution, how they had conquered the tyrannical humans, how they had fought with nobility and honor, how they had brought an end to years of slavery, how they had forged a new life for their children.
A few years later, he was much older (in Pokemon years) and wiser, and he knew he couldn’t rely entirely on the stories his friends and family had told him. Especially since he’d overheard at least once how his father and friends were…not exactly in the thick of the battle. So he looked towards the movies and documentaries made by Pokemon who kn
